Digital scratch-saving app with customizable cards, statistics & daily challenges

What is ScratchSave?

  • 🎯 Digital scratch-saving cards: Create savings goals as cards, each card has fields with fixed amounts – by scratching/tapping you reveal them and see your saved money grow.
  • 🧩 Highly customizable: Use templates (Starter/Plus/Pro) or create your own cards with title, total amount, number of fields, themes and optional daily cards with min/max amounts.
  • 📅 Daily cards: Fields reset every day (optional). Amounts are randomly distributed within your min/max range.
  • 💱 Currency selection: Choose your currency; all cards and statistics are converted automatically and rounded to whole amounts (no decimals).
  • 📊 Statistics: Total and average values, daily summaries and number of completed cards – for selectable time ranges.
  • Reminders: For daily cards, reminders can be scheduled (if notifications are allowed).

How ScratchSave works

  • 🚀 Start & onboarding: You choose a currency, a default card is created. All amounts are rounded to whole numbers.
  • 🪙 Scratching: In the Home tab, open your card and scratch or tap fields to reveal them – the revealed amounts are added to your total.
  • More cards: In the Settings tab you can add more templates (Starter/Plus/Pro) or create custom cards, change themes, hide, restore or delete cards.
  • 📅 Daily cards: For selected cards you can enable daily behaviour; fields reset every day and new amounts are drawn.
  • 💱 Change currency: When you change the currency, all cards and statistics are converted and rounded again.
  • 📊 Statistics tab: Shows total and average values, daily summaries and completed cards – with filterable time ranges.

Plans: Free, Plus & Pro

  • 🆓 Free: Basic templates, basic themes, standard limits, no iCloud synchronisation.
  • Plus: Additional card templates and themes, extended/custom limits (depending on app scope), no iCloud synchronisation.
  • Pro: Everything from Plus, plus more/custom options for cards & themes and iCloud sync for cards, history, limits, currency and settings across devices with the same Apple ID.

iCloud & multi-device use (Pro)

  • ☁️ What is synced: Cards (including hidden), active card set, scratch history, limits, selected currency and app settings – via your private iCloud.
  • Requirements: Active Pro subscription, iCloud enabled for the app and the same Apple ID on your devices.
  • 🛠 If something doesn't appear: Restart the app, toggle iCloud for the app off and on again, check your network and restart the device if needed.

Purchases & restore

  • 🔐 Apple ID bound: Plus and Pro are linked to your Apple ID.
  • 📲 New device: Install the app, sign in with the same Apple ID. If your subscription is not detected automatically, tap Restore purchases in the paywall dialog.

Privacy & security

Local data storage

Your cards, scratch history, limits, currency and settings are stored locally on your device by default. No sensitive personal data such as name, email or location is collected.

Optional iCloud synchronisation (Pro)

If you use Pro and enable iCloud for ScratchSave, your data is also stored encrypted in your personal iCloud. Synchronisation is handled by Apple's infrastructure and is only accessible under your Apple ID.

No data sharing & no tracking

ScratchSave uses no external servers, no tracking and no ads. There are no analytics services and no data is shared with third parties.

Full control over your data

You can change or delete cards, statistics and settings at any time. If you disable iCloud, everything stays local on your device. There are no hidden files and no unauthorised access to your savings information.

Quick troubleshooting

  • 🔄 Sync stuck: Check Pro subscription and iCloud, restart the app, toggle iCloud for the app off and on again and check your internet connection.
  • Missing subscription: Tap Restore purchases in the paywall dialog and wait a moment.
  • 📭 Empty home screen: Add a new card in the Settings tab (template or custom card).
